![]() ![]() TLDR skip the filler if it’s your first time watching or if you’ve never read the manga before. ![]() There are, of course, filler that add to the story of Naruto in a very logical way and fits in without contradiction, but first time watchers wouldn’t really be able to differentiate between what makes sense with the story and what contradicts it because you don’t know the full story yet. It doesn’t add anything to the story but it was pretty emotional. The only filler I liked and didn’t feel like it wasted time or contradicted the story was the Guren one in Shippuden (the girl that does the crystal jutsu and works for Orochimaru). ![]() In this Naruto filler list guide you will discover how much filler is in the popular anime series Naruto. Fillers are a necessary evil to keep your favorite anime on the air long enough to tell the full story of the source manga. 41 of the Naruto anime are filler episodes. However, any anime that reaches 500 episodes will have some filler. If it’s your first time watching Naruto I’d say skip the filler and just watch the main story, it’s extremely good on its own. It flows through Naruto becoming the next more powerful level and joining his friends for the future of mankind in the Fourth Great Shinobi War. For people who have read the manga (which is the story as the Author wrote it), they can understand and ignore these points. Let me be the first to tell you that some filler give very FALSE information that sometimes even contradicts with the main story. Also I’ve seen a lot with people who watched Naruto before reading the Manga that they get a lot of plot points confused or point out a lot of contradictions that shouldn’t be there. Some filler is just for fun, some have a pretty decent and emotional story, and some are just a complete waste of time. The only filler in that large span of fillers I legitimately enjoyed was the very last. Anything not listed here is too be watched. You wont miss anything by skipping all the Naruto filler episodes. The dont need to watch episodes aren’t necessary but recommended as they can explain small character dynamics. Ideally watch some episodes in between.įor Shippuden here are the filler episodes(I’ll recommend certain episodes)ġ76-196(recommend watch the first 4 episodes of these, also 190 is also a really good episode)Ģ23-242(don’t need to see, but some episodes are funny, especially 241)Ģ79-281(part of the overall arc that is happening, 281 is important to watch to understand the Will Of Fire(if you don’t understand yet that’s fine))Ģ84-289(don’t need to watch, but helps with worldbuilding)Ģ90-295(Power Arc, think a movie split into 6 episodes, doesn’t relate with the arc that happens after these episodes)ģ03-320(part of the episodes on the overall arc, I recommend 318 and 320)Ĥ16(it helps the surrounding by episodes)Ĥ22-423(episodes that shows how a certain character did something)Ĥ27-450(I recommend to see 427-431 to better understand certain characters, the rest is optional but watching it will also help you understand certain character dynamics)Ĥ64-469(helps you the viewer understand character dynamics)Ĥ80-483(look backs into the lives of popular characters) For Naruto Part 1, watch up to episode 135, then episode 220(last half of the episode, the first part is half filler). ![]()
